The five daily prayers are held in congregation at the Masjid, as well as the special Friday prayer (Jumu'ah) and Eid prayer (performed on the day of Eid).

Newcastle Muslim Centre is a Masjid (mosque) which was opened in 2006 by local community members, in order to meet the religious and spiritual needs of the local Muslim community. 

Newcastle Muslim Centre hosts Nikah (Islamic marriage) ceremonies. Nikah is a great blessing and act of worship in Islam.
